HONOR 60 and 60 Pro presented: Snapdragon 778G +, 108MP cameras and Android 12

In January of this year, HONOR unveiled its first smartphone as an independent company, and in June announced the HONOR 50 series, marking the return of Google services to its devices. Now the company has introduced the HONOR 60 series of smartphones, which includes two models – HONOR 60 and 60 Pro.

In a sense, both new items repeat their predecessors. The series was the first on the market to receive the Snapdragon 778G + (HONOR 60 Pro) chipset, which still uses the 6nm process technology. But unlike Snapdragon 778G, it has a higher clock speed of the main core Kryo 670, as well as a more powerful graphics accelerator Adreno 642L. The HONOR 60 and 60 Pro are very similar to each other. Both have 10-bit OLED displays, 120Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color space, and 1920Hz PWM, making flicker invisible to the human eye.

The resolution of the main module of the main camera remains the same – 108 megapixels. It is a 1 / 1.52-inch sensor with 9-in-1 pixel combining technology to achieve a pixel size of 2.1 microns. The Pro version also received an ultra-wide-angle camera with a 50 megapixel sensor and a viewing angle of 122º. It has autofocus, so you can take macro photos from a distance of only 2.5 cm. The basic version retains the previous generation ultra-wide-angle camera of 8 megapixels. The third module for both models is represented by a 2 megapixel depth sensor.

The selfie camera of the HONOR 60 Pro has a 50MP sensor with a fairly wide lens, while the regular version has a 32MP camera. The company focuses on the fact that both new products are excellent smartphones for video blogging. For this, AI functions are provided that allow you to control the camera using gestures.

The HONOR 60 and 60 Pro have 4800 mAh batteries. The older version supports charging at 100W, although both devices are charged at 66W. The smartphones run Android 12 with the proprietary Magic UI 5.0 interface.
