HONOR has a $100 smartphone with a powerful battery and a 90Hz screen

HONOR quietly introduced an entry-level smartphone called HONOR X7a. This is an ultra-budget device, but with quite decent characteristics. For the first time about this smartphone became known last month, when its renderings began to appear on the network. In general, the leaks were confirmed, it remains only to confirm the official specifications.

The HONOR X7a features a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display with a waterdrop notch for the 5MP front camera. Despite belonging to the class of budget devices, the screen is TÜV Rheinland certified, and its refresh rate is 90 Hz. At the back is a large rectangular block of the main camera, consisting of a main module of 50 MP and an additional 8 MP module with an ultra-wide-angle lens. There’s also a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor for taking shots with blurry backgrounds. The fingerprint scanner is located on the side, it is built into the power button.

The device is built on the MediaTek MT6765H chipset, which corresponds to the Helio G37. The smartphone has 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of permanent memory. At the same time, it is possible to expand the internal memory with microSD cards up to 1 TB. A 6000 mAh battery with support for 22.5 W fast charging is responsible for battery life. The software uses Magic UI 6.1 based on Android 12. Among other things, it is worth noting the presence of a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

The cost of HONOR X7a is 799 yuan (approximately 8,500 rubles). The smartphone is offered in three color options: Titanium Silver, Ocean Blue and Midnight Black.
