Honor has revealed more details on the new Honor Play 5 5G smartphone on its Weibo page, confirming that it will support 66W fast charging.
Based on the published images, it can be assumed that Honor may release more than one variant of the Play 5. The latest teaser received 5G in the name, and the manufacturer previously called the smartphone simply Honor Play 5. This indicates that smartphones may come in versions with support for 4G and 5G , which may also differ in cameras and other characteristics.

Earlier it was reported that the standard version of the Honor Play 5 will receive a 6.53-inch Full HD + OLED screen. The smartphone is only 7.46 mm thick and weighs 179 grams. It is expected that the Honor Play5 will be based on the MediaTek Dimensity 800U single-chip system and will be powered by a 3800 mAh battery. The smartphone will support 66-watt fast charging. The main camera is expected to have image sensors with a resolution of 64, 8, 2 and 2 megapixels. The smartphone out of the box will run the Android 11 operating system.

Honor has officially confirmed that the device will launch on May 18th.
