Honor V40 screen displays 1 billion colors

Honor, a former Huawei sub-brand that recently went independent, has confirmed that it will host an event to unveil the flagship Honor V40 smartphone on January 18 in China.

Now the company has posted the first teaser trailer for the Honor V40 on social media. The teaser says that the smartphone is equipped with an ultra-sensitive screen that can display a billion colors.

The smartphone has a curved edge screen and has a cutout in the upper left corner to accommodate two image sensors. It is expected to have a 6.72-inch OLED panel and support 120Hz refresh rate. A fingerprint scanner is built under the surface of the screen.

It will be built on the basis of the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ single-chip system with 5G support. The smartphone will receive 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, as well as 128 GB or 256 GB of UFS 2.1 flash memory. The previous image confirmed that the main image sensor has a resolution of 50MP.

The Honor V40 is also expected to support 66W wired fast charging and 45W wireless charging. The device will run Android 11 operating system with its own Magic UI 4.0 user interface.
