Separated from Huawei and now independent, Honor has unveiled its new Honor V40 smartphone in China today.

This is the first Honor smartphone unveiled without Huawei and exempt from U.S. sanctions. It is expected to mark the return of Google’s app services to the international market on Honor smartphones. Its international debut, titled Honor View 40, is expected in April.

The Honor V40 is equipped with a 6.72-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1236×2676 pixels with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, curved edges, an embedded 16MP front camera with the addition of a color temperature sensor, and an integrated fingerprint scanner. The Honor V40 is priced at $ 550 for a version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal flash storage, as well as $ 620 for 8GB / 256GB. Acceptance of orders will begin today, January 22.
