Honor, which has become independent from Huawei, has unveiled the Honor V40 smartphone today. Almost immediately after the announcement, orders for the new product were accepted.
As Honor announced on its Weibo page, Honor V40 was a real hit – the first batch in all official online stores was sold out in just 3 minutes and 46 seconds. The next batch of Honor V40 will start selling on January 26th.
The smartphone is offered for order in China in two versions – at a price of $ 550 for the version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal flash memory, as well as $ 620 for 8/256 GB. Detailed specifications can be found here.
This is the first Honor smartphone unveiled without Huawei and exempt from U.S. sanctions. It is supposed to mark the return of Google services and apps to Honor smartphones in the international market. Outside of China, the smartphone will be released under the name Honor View 40, the debut is expected in April.
