It’s been 12 years since the release of the third and final High School Musical movie, but it seems that Zac Efron is really itching to return to his iconic fictional school. The actor still fondly remembers his time in East HighSo much so that he’s willing to don the uniform to play Troy Bolton one more time.
You read right! In a recent interview for AND! News, the 34-year-old actor shared his hopes of returning to High School Musical. When asked if he would be interested in a reboot of what became one of Disney’s most successful franchises, Efron was quick to say yes.
Of course of course! To have the opportunity in any form to come back and work with that team would be great. My heart is still there. It would be amazing, I hope it happens.

This shows that, despite the fact that the first film of High School Musical premiered on the Disney Channel over 15 years ago, the love and interest for this musical lives on in the hearts of fans (and the actors!).
