The helicopter that disappeared last Sunday, December 31st, has not yet been located. In an interview with CNN, SP Civil Defense Captain Roberto Farina said he still “has hope that the helicopter has landed.”
Farina also reported that the search work is being carried out in sync with the FAB and the Fire Department, both by air and on land.
Difficulties crossing the mountain
The pilot of the helicopter that disappeared last Sunday (31) on the way to Ilhabela, on the coast of São Paulo, made calls to the helipad he was heading to reporting difficulties in crossing the mountains. Jorge Marum, from Heliponto Maroum, reports that the pilot's first contact was at 11:09 am, when he asked to know the weather conditions. The response came at 11:14 am. Later, the commander sends a new audio at 1:03 pm, saying he is coming.
Young Letícia Ayumi, one of the people on the aircraft, sent messages to her family, reporting a forced landing in the middle of a forest. She also spoke about the bad weather during the trip.
The case
A helicopter that was heading to Ilhabela, on the coast of São Paulo, disappeared on Sunday (31), the eve of New Year's Eve, reported the São Paulo Military Police. CNN obtained information about the passengers from the sister of one of the missing on Monday (1st).
Luciana Marley Rodzewics Santos, 46, her daughter, Letícia Ayumi Rodzewics Sawunoto, 20, and a friend, identified as Rafael, were on the helicopter, in addition to the pilot, who has not yet been identified.
Luciana and Letícia had received an invitation from Rafael to take a helicopter ride, the sister explained.
The family also reported that the location of the young woman's cell phone is active and Air Force aircraft are trying to search.
Due to the lack of visibility, they were unable to land at the signal location this Monday (1st).
According to the PM, the helicopter took off at 1:15 pm from Campo de Marte, on the 31st. The last contact was at 3:10 pm.
