The decapitated body of a young woman, who had been married less than four months before, was found by the authorities Texaswhich prosecuted her husband for murderaccording to the Waller County Sheriff.
The 21-year-old’s body was found in the home, but not her head, Sheriff Troy Guidry said.
The 21-year-old husband, Jared Dicus, was questioned by the police and eventually confessed to the gruesome crime.
The woman has not yet been officially identified by authorities, but a post from the county judge who married the couple on Oct. 21 identified her as Anggy Diaz.
A knife, believed to be the murder weapon, was found on the property outside the house along with her severed head.
The perpetrator’s family members called the police to the couple’s home on Wednesday afternoon. The woman had been presumed dead since about 11 p.m. before her body was found.
According to the New York Post, the sheriff said there had been calls to police about a disturbance but no reports of violence in the past.
The murdered woman was from Nicaragua and had no documents.
