Horror in Paris: The dismembered body of a woman was found in a park

The dismembered torso of a woman was found today inside a sack in Beit-Samon, a park in the northeast of Parisvery popular for walks and picnics, according to court imgs.

Police officers from the city’s parks and gardens service made the grisly discovery around noon, said the mayor of the French capital’s 19th arrondissement, Francois Daniot. The park has been closed to the public in order for it to be explored in its entirety.

According to a img close to the investigation, in the bag that was thrown in bushes a woman’s pelvis was found.

So far there is no evidence of the identity of the victim or about the time of her death. The case has been taken over by the judicial police of Paris.

A resident of the neighborhood, who was outside the park around 6 p.m., said she was told by her daughter not to go there. “I don’t think it’s the first time a body has been discovered in Bit-Shamon, but a dismembered body, that’s the absolute horror.”commented.

The park will remain closed tomorrow Tuesday so that the police can search it with the help of specially trained dogs, the mayor said according to the Athens News Agency.
Bit-Salmon Park, the “green lung» of eastern Paris, was created in 1867 by Napoleon III. Thanks to its pond, waterfalls and cave, it is ideal for walks and exercise, while many families frequent it on weekends.
