Horror in Scotland: 20-year-old man found guilty of attempted rape and strangulation of his 16-year-old sister

The case of a horrific crime was closed today in Scotland. The case of her murder 16 year old Amber had shocked the country as her murder, on November 26, remained an unsolved mystery.

Jurors also heard other forensic evidence that “bloodstains” on Gibson’s jacket were consistent with Amber and his DNA was also found on her shorts, which had “tear violently».

The court heard that Gibson he didn’t seem emotionally charged as he was talking to his and Amber’s former stepfather, Craig Niven, the day Amber’s body was found. Giving evidence, Mr Niven had said no the siblings didn’t hang out because they “didn’t get along.”

It showed that on November 27, at around 12.34am, the phone’s user wrote to a Snapchat group: “I’m really going to need your help with something when you get back. I’m serious». The court heard evidence that around 40 seconds later the user texted Amber Gibson on the app: “Are you ok?”.

In addition, the search history obtained from the phone showed that the user searched the Internet: “How to get nosy cops to stop tracking your phone».

The sentencing of Stephen Corrigan
