Thousands of people have been using the train station in Kramatorsk, in eastern Ukraine, for days to get away from the area. Today two rockets hit the spot, resulting in at least 39 people were killed and 87 injured.

A volunteer from a humanitarian organization involved in the removal of the bodies told the French Agency that at least 35 people had lost their lives. “I saw about 15 injured but it is difficult to say how many there were, many were removed shortly afterwards by car to the hospitals,” he explained.
At least 39 people were killed and 87 injured, local governor Pavlo Kirilenko said, according to Reuters, revising the previous estimate of 30 dead.
Thousands of people have fled the area in recent days by train from Kramatorsk station in Donbass for fear of a major Russian attack.
About an hour before the strike, many civilians – elderly, women and children – lined up in front of the station, waiting to board a train.
“I’m looking for my husband, he was there, I can not find him,” a woman told AFP, trembling and crying with sobs.hesitating to approach the dead and holding her phone stuck in her ear.
Another woman is looking for her passport in her luggage and other things that were left at the station, stained with blood stains. “I was at the station, I heard something like a double explosion, I ran next to the wall to protect myself.”
