O Hospital das Clínicas (HC) from São Paulo launched a campaign to fund research on the different effects of Covid-19 on the human body.
The institution, linked to the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (USP), intends to develop studies on the effects of the disease on the cardiovascular, neurological and urinary systems.
The research also intends to assess the effects of infections on semen and glycemic indexes, among other impacts.
To develop the work, four scholarship holders will be kept, who will receive R$5,000 for 12 months and one who will work for ten months. The studies seek to standardize diagnoses and develop treatments for the long-term effects of Covid-19.
Donations for the Adopt a Researcher project can be made for the next 43 days through the Hospital das Clínicas fundraising platform.
