Hospitalizations for Covid-19 fall 18.5% in a week in São Paulo

New hospitalizations for Covid-19 in the state of São Paulo fell by 18.5% in the last week, the data are from the State Department of Health and were analyzed by the Ministry of Health. CNN.

Only this Sunday (7) there were 1,086 new admissions in the state of São Paulo. As a comparison, the data from a week ago, on January 30, point to the occurrence of 1,331 new hospitalizations, confirming the fall of 18.5%.

When analyzing data from two weeks earlier, the drop is even more expressive in the number of new hospitalizations for Covid-19, of 27.6%.

However, the moving average of new admissions in the state of São Paulo remains high, at 1,229 and the occupancy of public ICU beds is at 71.6%.

The numbers presented still demand a lot of attention, since in eight states and in the Federal District this occupancy rate of ICU beds is above 80%.

In addition to the DF, the situation is quite complicated in Espírito Santo, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pará, Pernambuco, Rondônia and Santa Catarina.

Despite the increase since the end of December in the average occupancy of ICU beds in the state of São Paulo, the index ended up stabilizing at around 70% in recent weeks, not advancing to 80%.
