Hospitalized 26 days ago, actress Claudia Alencar is transferred to semi-intensive care

Actress Claudia Alencar, 73 years old, was transferred this Wednesday (10) to the semi-intensive unit at Hospital São Vicente, in the south zone of Rio de Janeiro. She has been hospitalized since December 17th, due to a serious bacterial infection.

According to the latest medical report released by the hospital, Claudia is already walking through the hospital corridors. She continues to improve clinically and continues to use the same antibiotics. Despite the improvement, there is still no forecast for hospital discharge.

Since being hospitalized, the actress underwent surgery on her lumbar spine, so that doctors could analyze the secretion in order to identify the bacteria responsible for the infection.

For some time, Claudia also needed ventilatory support to help with breathing, but the equipment has now been removed.

More than 50 years of career

Cláudia Alencar began her artistic career at the age of 25, in 1975, in a TV Cultura teletheater. Since then, the São Paulo actress has acted in more than 20 theater plays, in addition to accumulating 32 television works and eight films. In 1988, Claudia also published her first book, “Maga Neón”.

The actress worked on multiple broadcasters: in addition to TV Cultura, she also worked on the now extinct TV Tupi, Band, until joining Rede Globo in 1986. She also participated in work on SBT, Rede Manchete and Record.

His most notable roles were in soap operas such as “Canção para Isabel”, “Os Imigrantes”, “Malhação” and “Os Mutantes”. She stood out as the Woman in White in “Tieta”, from 1989. Recently, Claudia had been cast in a role in “Beleza Fatal”, an HBO Max attraction.
