Ismail Al-Qadi, the brother of the rescued man, said the family had been praying for him during his time in captivity.
“I can’t express my feelings. I hope my mother is happier than us. We prayed for him, my mother prayed more for him, her prayer reached heaven,” Ismail said.
The brother also said that Al-Qadi’s mother had “a dream that he would return.”
The rescue operation was welcomed by Benjamin Netanyahu, who highlighted the military pressure against Hamas.
