In its 12th edition, the Emiliano Market Day a fair promoted by the Hotel Emiliano São Paulo, takes place at next Sunday , September 8th in front of the hotel and promises to offer the public a program with workshops, classes and lectures, in addition to the traditional stalls of Emiliano suppliers.
With free entry, the fair’s main theme is “Living Connections – Gastronomy, Nature and Community” highlighting the importance of the relationship between these three pillars.
Held since 2010, the fair is considered one of the most traditional in the region and aims to bring together the neighborhood, customers and local producers to promote the organic food production chain, by bringing suppliers and the hotel’s public closer together.
With three spaces for interactive activities and lectures, the event features several stalls with selected products and a large open-air kitchen, where it will be possible to taste dishes prepared by chef Vivi Gonçalves, head of Restaurante Emiliano, and by chef Camilo Vanazzi, responsible for the kitchen at Restaurante Emile, in Rio de Janeiro.
In the “Mão Na Massa” space, special workshops will be held where the public will learn techniques from chefs and special guests. In it, students will have the opportunity to learn recipes such as Ricotta Gnudi, with Chef Vivi Gonçalves and Banana Gnocchi, with Chef Camilo Vanazzi.
It will also be possible to participate in two special classes: “100% Cocoa”, with three chefs from the “Chefs Aprendizes” project, who will portray the new trend in the use of products that contain whole cocoa, and “Classics of the Future in the Universe of Agave by Don Julio”, with Vitória Kurihara, consultant and Brand Ambassador for Diageo’s luxury brands and champion of World Class Brasil 2023. Vitória will tell a little about the history of tequila and offer a guided tasting.
The “Espaço Vivências” will also feature themed classes, such as “Minimalism in the Kitchen”, with Chef Luiz Américo Camargo; “Conversation with the producer: Vinícola Urbana” with award-winning sommelier Luís Otávio Cruz; and with producer Daniel Colli, from Vinícola Urbana in Pinheiros; “Small Pleasures” with Chef Vivi Gonçalves; and “How do we consume? How do we discard?” with Lucas Lacaz, renowned photojournalist, environmental educator and urban composter.
“Cozinha Emiliano” welcomes the public with reduced versions of some of the most requested recipes from Emiliano’s restaurants, such as Braised Beef with Mini Vegetables and Red Rice, Ricotta and Herb Gnudi with Italian Tomato Sauce, Date Cake with Salted Caramel Sauce, Creamy Cocada, among other delights. In addition, it will also be possible to purchase some other dishes that will be offered on the day.
The “Santapele” space, focused on well-being, will offer a variety of sensory experiences, from foot massages to an immersive class with Cau Saad, personal trainer and founder of the Cau Saad Institute. Two interactive workshops will also be held: “Small Farmers” and “Smell Detectives”.
Visitors will also be able to see high-quality products that will be on display at various stalls at the fair, an ideal opportunity for those who wish to take home the same ingredients used in the kitchens of both hotels.
