Yves Saint Laurent: Mad love (2010)

The director-photographer Pierre Thoretton sketches, the life, the genius and the upsets of Saint Laurent thanks to the contribution of a lifelong partner, Pierre Bergé. The film has dark, lunar tones, suitable for narrating a complex and fragile personality, also sawed by loneliness and addictions.

Yves Saint Laurent (2014)

The film, directed by Jalil Lespert and the participation of Pierre Niney, who won a César for this role, tells the life of Saint Laurent from when he was at the helm of Dior in 1957 until the creation of his house in 1961, but also examines his relationship with Pierre Bergé (Guillaume Gallienne) trying to grasp all the facets, inspirations and failures of the French couturier.

Saint Laurent (2014)

2014 was the year of biopics dedicated to Yves Saint Laurent: also Bertrand Bonello in fact, he ventured into the story of the designer’s life, punctuating the factual story with dreamlike visions and hallucinations given by drugs in a carousel where, in addition to the main interpreters Gaspard Ulliel (Saint Laurent) e Jeremie renier (Pierre Bergé) there are also high-sounding names such as Louis Garrell, who plays the lover and Jacques, Léa Seydoux e Jasmine Trinca.

Halston (2021)

Netflix produced a miniseries about the story of Roy Halston, considered American designer the antagonist of leading figures in US fashion such as Ralph Lauren e Oscar de la Renta. Directed by Daniel Minahan | and performed by Ewan McGregor, in the role of Halston, and by Rebecca Dayan in that of Elsa Peretti, the series is the TV adaptation of the book Simply Halston by Steven Gaines from 1991: an all-round journey into the life and career of the designer from the beginnings to fame.

The Assassination of Gianni Versace (2018)

Produced by Fox Crime, The Assassination of Gianni Versace is the second season of the series American Crime Story, who had considered the case in the first season OJ Simpson. With an unlikely Penelope Cruz as Donatella Versace e Ricky Martin in those of Versace’s companion Antonio D’Amico, the series tells of the murder of the designer (played by Edgar Ramirez) which took place in his villa in Miami in 1992, with a particular focus on the profile of the killer, Andrew Cunanan.
