“House of the Dragon” reveals the origin of Daenerys Targaryen’s dragons

The dragon eggs that appear in the third episode of season 2 of “House of the Dragon” are the same ones that Daenerys Targaryen receives in the first season of “Game of Thrones” .

The information was confirmed by Geeta Vasant Patel, director of the episode in question, which was released this Sunday (30). In addition to confirming the information in an interview with Mashable, Patel mentions: “All of us who worked on this series are big fans of ‘Game of Thrones’, so it was very exciting to film that scene.”

Also according to the portal, Rhaena’s proximity to Daenerys’ eggs makes sense, as Rhaenyra herself tells her that these eggs are the Targaryens’ “hope for the future”. Even if the war with Aegon II (Tom Glynn-Carney) goes wrong, these eggs represent a chance for the Targaryen dragon-riding tradition to continue.

The events of “House of the Dragon” take place 172 years before the start of “Game of Thrones”. Episodes of the spin-off series are released weekly and so far, three episodes of season 2 are already available. Check out the full calendar.
