Houthi attack on three merchant ships and two US cruisers

Yemen's Houthi rebels announced today that they had launched an attack on three merchant ships in the Indian Ocean and Red Sea, as well as two US Navy cruisers. Their spokesman Yahya Sharia said missiles were fired at the merchant ships Larego Desert and MSC Mechela in the Indian Ocean, and the Minerva Lisa in the Red Sea. He did not name the US Navy cruisers against which he said the drones were fired. The Reuters news agency points out that so far there is no reaction from the shipping companies or from the headquarters of the American armed forces responsible for the Middle East region (US Central Command or CENTCOM).
