How does Sam Bankman-Fried spend his days in prison now?

Former FTX chief Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) has adapted to detention conditions in Brooklyn, New York. Writes about this The Wall Street Journal citing sources familiar with the situation.

According to the publication, the founder of the crypto exchange is in the same cell with ex-President of Honduras Juan Hernandez and a former high-ranking Mexican police officer. One of the interlocutors added that SBF provided advice to supervisors regarding cryptocurrencies.

On November 21, the appeals court denied Bankman-Fried’s request for release pending sentencing. The corresponding meeting is scheduled for March 28, 2024.

On November 2, a jury found the FTX founder guilty of all criminal charges. Each count carries a maximum penalty of 5 to 20 years in prison. Collectively, Bankman-Fried faces up to 115 years in prison.
