How much does Windows 11 PC performance decrease in Android environment: tests appeared

The NTDEV blogger conducted a simple but revealing experiment: he tested the performance of a Windows 11-based computer in the native Geekbench 5 benchmark application and in the Android version of the same benchmark launched through the Windows Subsystem for Android (it is through it that games and programs for “green robot “in Windows 11). The results are encouraging – productivity has not dropped significantly.

Windows 11 Windows Subsystem for Android Performance changes
Single core test 992 points 867 points –12,6%
Multi-core test 2668 points 2423 points –9,2%

Tests conducted on an Aspire A515-51G laptop with an Intel Core i7-8550U quad-core processor (1.8GHz base frequency, up to 4GHz with Turbo Boost).

Despite the good results, at the moment Windows Subsystem for Android is not yet suitable for full use – users record a short-term increased load when launching several Android applications and, in general, the unstable operation of the subsystem. However, these shortcomings will probably be corrected – now the innovation is only being tested in beta builds of the system.
