According to information, the subsidiary of the ELLAKTOR Group, which won the relevant tender of the HRDH with 40.2 million euros, will pay – probably next week – the advance payment – a guarantee corresponding to 10% of the total price, ie 4.2 million. euro.
The total amount of the price which is already secured, will be paid by REDS with the signing of the concession agreement with the HRDH.
Interest from Greek and foreign investors
Regarding the cost of the investment, it is expected to reach 200 million euros, while significant interest has already been expressed in the project by both Greek and foreign investors as well as by a large financial group.
Besides, the investment in Gournes of Heraklion, also known as “Little Greek”, is expected to be one of the largest tourism projects that will be built in our country in the coming years. The investment is expected to attract significant domestic and international capital as well as a significant tourist flow, contributing substantially – in combination with the other major projects to be done on the island – to the upgrading, promotion and economic development of Crete and consequently the country. and the Greek economy.
The plan for Gournes that is being promoted envisages a series of developments, including 4- and 5-star hotels, hostels, a conference-exhibition center, holiday homes, shopping malls, a marina, a helipad and other uses.

As for the casino that is planned to operate within the area, the Reds management is expected, according to information, to assign the feasibility study to an American Group in the next period.
