An operation carried out by the Civil Police, this Monday (29), arrested 33 members of a criminal organization known for carrying out the so-called “nude coup” in Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina.
According to the police, the organization’s leaders supported luxuries, purchasing foreign vehicles, making cash payments, in addition to spending money on travel and purchases of land and real estate.
Victim lost over $100,000
The group contacted men pretending to be very young women who said they were underage. For this, fake profiles on social networks were used to obtain pictures of naked or semi-nude victims.
The scheme had a large amount of material, such as photos, audios and videos of enticed teenagers, which were sent to the victims. Then the criminals began a series of extortions. To reinforce the farce, they pretended to be police officers from Rio Grande do Sul.
The second stage of the scheme included receiving money, which was done by people who were also recruited by the organization. The “oranges” lent accounts and CPFs for bank deposits and were remunerated by the organization’s leaders.
According to delegate Rafael Liedtke, the suspects attracted businessmen, doctors and even politicians. “The investigation identified 80 victims of the coup across the country, one of which reportedly lost more than R$100,000,” said the delegate.

The Rio Grande do Sul Civil Police also discovered, during the investigations, that a 17-year-old teenager was recruited by the criminal organization. The young woman took pictures of herself and received between R$ 100 and R$ 200 per “package of images”, which were used in the scheme.
Police officers do not rule out the suspicion that other teenagers, and of legal age, have been enticed.
The criminal organization is still being investigated for the crimes of extortion, corruption of minors, drug trafficking, money laundering and illegal possession of a firearm.
