Denmark has announced that the term in the military would not only concern men but also women, as it became mandatory for them. The change had been agreed to be implemented in 2027, but due to Western relations with Russia it was decided to do much earlier. According to a New York Post report, the term of office is now mandatory for men and women who are 18 years old. However, they will not serve immediately. Based on the system they use, positions are always expected to be filled by volunteers (men and women). If there are vacancies – usually – there is a draw between adults who have not yet served, compulsory or voluntarily. The term is 11 months and is divided into two stages.
