How to delete account on X? See the step by step

If you need to take a break from social media, whether for mental health, productivity or self-knowledge, the path to deleting your accounts is not always easy. If you want to delete your login from X, formerly Twitter, follow the tutorial that explains how to do the process.

When you request the permanent deletion of your account on X, a 30-day period begins that allows the account to be reactivated. After that, it is no longer possible to recover your “@” on the social network.

Computer

1. Click on “More” in the left side menu;

   

2. Go to “Settings and privacy”
3. Then in “Your account”, in the middle menu;

   

4. Select “Deactivate your account” and then “Deactivate”;

   

5. If you do not request to recover your account within 30 days, it will be permanently deleted.

Mobile devices

1. Click on your profile photo in the top left corner;
2. Select “Settings & Support” and “Settings & Privacy” at the bottom;

   

3. Go to “Your account” and then “Deactivate account”;

   

4. Select “Disable”;
5. If you do not request to recover your account within 30 days, it will be permanently deleted.
