How to delete Instagram account? See the step by step

Follow the step by step below to delete your Instagram account via your computer, Android, iOs or through the Account Center.

First, it is important save all your files and information because it is not possible to recover the social network account after deleting it. Another alternative is to temporarily deactivate the profile.

Computer

1. Log in to Instagram Web;
2. Get in on Instagram website;
3. Set a reason for deletion;
4. Enter your password and select “Delete”.

Account Center

Meta provides a site that brings together all your profiles linked on the platform. You can delete your account using this path:

1. Select “Personal data” in the left side menu;

   

2. Go to “Account ownership and control” and then select “Deactivation or deletion”;

   

3. Select the profile you want to delete and click “Delete account”;

   

4. Enter your password and confirm to delete.

iOs

1. Click on your profile photo in the bottom right corner;
2. Go to the icon with three lines in the upper right corner;
3. Select “Settings and privacy”

   

4. Click on “Account Center”;
5. Go to “Personal data” and then “Account ownership and control”;

   

6. Select “Deactivation or deletion” and click on the account to be deleted;

   

7. Click “Delete account”, select the reason and enter your password.

Android

If you use Instagram on this operating system, you must use the social network in your browser to delete your account. Just follow the steps on your computer or in the Account Center.
