How to Disable T9 on Android: Keyboard AutoCorrect Won’t Be Annoying

Autocorrect technology has long been present in all keyboards on Android. But its work is not always user-friendly, especially when entering specific words. This article describes how to disable T9 in popular Android keyboards. It is worth noting that modern keyboards can learn – if you manually correct the same word several times, the application will remember it.

With the keyboard open, long press on comma buttonand then, without lifting your finger, transfer it to gear icon. This will open the settings menu.

Next, click on Autocorrect text. In the menu that appears, in the block Correctionstoggle switch Autocorrect to an inactive position.

Microsoft Swift key

On the open keyboard, in the upper left part, you need to click on arrow icon. In the panel that appears, click on the icon of three dots on the right side, and then on the item Settings.

Once in the keyboard settings menu, select the item Inputand then switch the switch Autocorrect to an inactive position.

Samsung Keyboard

Here, according to a similar scenario, in the upper right part of the keyboard, you should select three dots. In the dropdown menu, tap on the item Settings. In the list of parameters that appears, in the block smart settoggle switch T9 mode to an inactive position.

Yandex Keyboard

Here you should make a long press on the key language switching in the lower left part of the keyboard and, without lifting your finger, move it to gear icon.

In the settings menu that opens, tap on the item Entering textand then toggle switch Autocorrect typos in the off position.
