It has been possible for a few days launch polls within the groups and in general of all chats of Whatsapp. From a conceptual point of view, the survey is an attachment to the conversation: which is why you will find it within the contents available to be sent by clicking on the clip (Android) or the del symbol «+» (iOS) to the left of the text window within the application. To understand each other, the same button with which we send us location, contacts or images retrieve from the smartphone gallery.
In short, many new features landed on the Meta chat or are on the way (such as the long-awaited possibility of use the same number on two different devices): from the option for write to yourself, opening a chat without other participants, and save files, contacts and important content precisely to surveys.
After touching «Survey» you will need to fill in the fields: it’s very simple and fast. It fits the request or the topic of the survey and then it starts fill in the spaces for answers that the chat participants will be able to choose: they are 12 possible answers and the next box is displayed as the previous one is progressively filled. You can then change them in order by holding them down and dragging them.
You can answer multiple times (but with different options) or, by clicking again on a single answer, withdraw your vote. But be careful: the vote is not secret. It will be easy to understand who voted what because the profile photo will be displayed at the bottom of each voted option and then in the summary viewable by clicking «Show votes» at the end of the survey form.
Polls, unlike other types of content, they cannot be forwarded to other chatswhether they are individual or group, but they can collect reactions just like photos or texts.
