Psychological bonus: what it is and who it is for
The psychologist bonus, provided for by Law 15/2022 and financed by Parliament with 10 million euros for the year 2022, provides for a monetary contribution addressed to people in conditions of depression, anxiety, stress and psychological fragilitydue to the pandemic emergency and the consequent socio-economic crisis, that they are in a position to benefit from a psychotherapeutic path.

The incentive is available for to bear the expenses related to psychotherapy sessions At private specialists regularly registered on the list of psychotherapists, in the context of the register of psychologists and who have communicated the adhesion to the initiative to the professional order to which they belong. However, they can only take advantage of the bonus once people with an ISEE income not exceeding 50 thousand euros.
Specifically, in order to support people with lower Isee, they are foreseen between bands: for people with a Isee less than 15 thousand eurosthe amount disbursed is equal to a maximum of 600 euros for each beneficiary; to people with a Isee between 15 and 30 thousand eurosa amount equal to 400 euros for each applicant and finally with Isee between 30 and 50 thousand eurosthe amount disbursed is equal to 200 euros for each citizen. The incentive can be used as a voucher to discount up to a maximum of 50 euros per session.
The assignment will take place according to the order of arrival of the questions but it will be given the priority to people with lower ISEE.
How to apply for the 2022 psychological bonus
The request for the psychological bonus must be made electronically to INPS (or through the INPS contact center) within thirty days from the date of publication of the decree in the Official Gazette. INPS and the Ministry of Health will communicate, through their websites, the date from which it will be possible to submit applications access to the benefit and the period of time, in any case not less than sixty days, in which to submit the application.
By accessing the INPS platformby means of an Electronic Identity Card, SPID or National Service Card, the system will be able to automatically identify the applicant’s tax code, as well as the region or autonomous province of residence and the contact details, as present in the institutional archives of INPS, and will provide the necessary self-certification self-certification which certify the requirements to apply for the bonus.
When submitting the application, INPS then verifies the existence of the requirements and informs the applicant of the presence or absence of a valid DSU (Single Substitutive Declaration): in case of presence of a valid DSU the application is acquired, otherwise it will be necessary to request the release of a valid DSU before proceeding with the application.
At the end of the application submission period, INPS will then make the rankings known And will communicate to the beneficiaries the acceptance of the application.
How to use the psychological bonus
How can the bonus be formally used once it has been obtained? Each beneficiary will be associated and communicated with a unique code. Once in possession of the unique code, it will be enough to communicate it to your psychologistwhich will insert it into the Inps platform to directly receive the payment, indicating the date of the service, the amount and also loading the invoice made out to the beneficiary.
However, there is a time limit to benefit from the contribution: once you have received the unique code, you have it six months to use the bonus.
At the end of the 180 days, the univocal unused code or the unused part of it will be canceled and the previously committed and unpaid economic resources will be reassigned on the basis of the current ranking.
It is estimated that the contribution allocated with the psychologist bonus will make it possible to approximately satisfy an audience of approx 16 thousand beneficiaries.
