How to understand if you have been blocked on Whatsapp

An argument, a quarrel, a problem, excessive pressure. And in the end you can be (legitimately) blocked on Whatsapp, like on any other social or messaging platform. How, at that point, do you know if you have been blocked?

There is no direct way to verify this. It is necessary to improvise detective. For example, verifying the contact that raises some doubts e check the date and time of his last access: if it is recent but the answer has not arrived for a long time, it is likely that it has blocked us. But perhaps a more sensible observation is that of notorious ticks: if the check remains only one and gray it means that, as known, that specific message has not been delivered. If the matter goes on for many days, and the date of the last access is instead recent, the picture begins to testify in favor of a block.

Another possible step is check the contact’s profile photo. Also in this case, if it is true that we do not change the profile photo every day, it is also true that a contact that has blocked us it will keep, in our eyes, always the same, the last viewed when you could still deliver messages. If it is never updated, even after months or even years, it could be another indication of a possible blacklisting. Last element to try and understand something more about the block is make a VoIP call via WhatsApp: if nothing happens, in short, if the connection is not established, the probabilities of the block go up dramatically.

There is also an extreme step: create a group that includes the contact you are investigating. If the platform indicates that “you are not authorized to add” then there is not too much to do. You have been blocked.
