Huawei has announced the MateBook D15 Ryzen Edition in China. Prices are lower than versions with Intel CPUs

According to the source, Huawei has announced new versions of the MateBook 15 2022 laptop in the home market – with AMD Ryzen APUs. The configurations are the same as the versions based on previously introduced laptops with Intel processors (16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD), but the prices are slightly lower: the base variant starts at $690 – versus $770 for the MateBook 15 2022 with Core i5 processor.

Interestingly, the APUs themselves have not yet been announced – Huawei will talk about them on February 27, when they start accepting pre-orders. However, the source believes that the MateBook D15 Ryzen Edition may use AMD Ryzen 5 5625U and Ryzen 7 5825U APUs. The first is 6-core and 12-thread with a maximum frequency of 4.3 GHz. The Ryzen 7 5825U has 8 physical cores, can run 16 threads and runs at up to 4.5GHz.

MateBook D15 2022 is enclosed in a metal case and is equipped with IPS screens with Full HD resolution. The thickness and weight of the version with Intel processors is 16.9 mm and 1.6 kg.
