Huawei has introduced a replacement for Gmail

After the US sanctions were imposed, Huawei lost access to Google services, in particular, it cannot use the popular Gmail email client on its smartphones.

Now the company has introduced a replacement for the most popular Gmail cards, christening its brainchild Petal Mail.

According to the latest reports, Huawei has recently filed a number of trademark filings, including Petal Search and Petal Maps. Petal Search is a universal search engine that supports multiple search methods. Petal Maps is a Google Map-like mapping application that is available on Huawei Mate 40, Huawei P40 and Mate 30. All of these devices must be running EMUI 11.

Petal Search operates in over 170 countries worldwide. Users can get information about apps, news, videos, images, shopping, travel, airline tickets, hotels, music, local services and so on. Moreover, this search engine supports over 50 languages.
