Google is preparing for the next change to Google Messages. At the end of March 2021, the application will no longer work on “non-certified” Android devices.
This message was discovered by enthusiasts in the code of the Google Messages app version 7.2.203. There is a line in the code that says, literally, the following:
Messages will stop working on uncertified devices, including this on March 31st. ”
Apparently, we are talking about devices based on the Android operating system, which for some reason did not go through the process of official Google certification for Google Mobile Services.
Such devices do not install the main Google applications and services, but their manufacturers often give users instructions on how to independently install Google applications on their gadgets.
Google successfully fights against such practices, however, Google Messages blocking has so far been bypassed and users could easily use this application, including on smartphones without Google certification, including Huawei.
