Huawei Mate 50 smartphones will be released earlier than expected

More precisely, the premiere should take place in the first quarter of next year. Approximately in March. Earlier in the spring, Huawei presented the flagships of the P series, and in the fall – the flagships of the Mate line. This year, the P50 debuted in the summer, and the cycle worked out over the years, you can say, has shifted. Next year, Huawei may restore the tradition of spring and autumn flagship premieres, but the devices of the Mate and P lines will swap places: the Mate 50 will debut in the spring, and the P60 – in late summer or early fall.

Rumors attribute two platforms to the Mate 50 models, and there is no talk of Kirin 9000 – there will be the freshest Snapdragon 898 without 5G support and the old Kirin 990. Alas, in terms of single-chip systems, Huawei does not have to choose yet, but the company looks to the future with a positive: CEO of Huawei Yu Chengdong says the king will return in 2023.

The Mate 50 will get quality screens (probably better than those used in the P50) and better cameras than the Mate 40. HarmonyOS has no alternative as the OS, which suggests that the Mate 50s are intended only for the home market. At least initially they will be sold exclusively in China.
