Huawei revealed the release date for HarmonyOS 3.0, an updated replacement for Android

The third version of Huawei’s HarmonyOS operating system was announced in October last year, and a few weeks later the first developer preview was released. However, then the pace of development seems to have slowed down a lot, so the system deployment schedule had to be shifted. Chinese Weibo user Changan posted a snapshot of a presentation from a developer innovation competition recently held in China. The slide shows the release date of the final version of HarmonyOS 3.0.

According to the provided photo, the release of HarmonyOS 3.0 is scheduled for September this year. By the way, the release of HarmonyOS 2.0 took place in June, and by mid-September this version had already been installed on 100 million devices. A beta version of HarmonyOS 3.0 is expected as early as May, although Huawei has not officially confirmed this information. The update contains some interface and performance improvements, but no major changes in appearance are expected. By the way, not so long ago, Huawei released the ArkUI framework, which helps developers develop applications for their system using TypeScript or JavaScript.

It is worth noting that the release date of the final version of HarmonyOS 3.0 refers to existing devices, which should receive the corresponding update. The Huawei Mate 50 series smartphones, which are expected to appear in July, will be the first to receive the new version of the system out of the box.
