Huawei started using SoC Snapdragon, and HarmonyOS got support from Qualcomm

According to Huawei Central, referring to Chinese informants, Huawei has started using SoC Snapdragon systems, and the HarmonyOS operating system has support for Qualcomm platforms.

It is reported that Huawei will use the 5nm Kirin 9000 SoC in the 12.6-inch version of Huawei’s flagship MatePad Pro tablet. While the 10.8-inch version will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, as we reported earlier this morning.

In addition, the source confirms that Huawei will unveil a number of new 4G versions of its flagship smartphones, including the Huawei Mate 40, Mate X2 and Nova 8. These models are also expected to be powered by Snapdragon SoCs instead of Kirin.

On June 2, Huawei will unveil the HarmonyOS operating system and a range of new devices, including the Watch 3 series smartwatches, new TVs, Huawei MatePad Pro tablets, and possibly the flagship Huawei P50 smartphone.
