Back in November 2020, Huawei released its first desktop computer on sale, but, however, only in China, and not everyone could buy this system. A few months later, the manufacturer decided to still send the MateStation S to the global market – information about this appeared on the official Huawei website in Malaysia and on the company’s social networks. It is worth noting that the “stuffing” of the global version of the PC does not differ from the Chinese MateStation B515, while the case has been updated – its front side has acquired a more stylish design, and the weight of the system is now 4.2 kg.

The performance of Huawei MateStation S is based on the AMD Ryzen 5 4600G processor (6 cores, 12 threads, base clock speed of 3.7 GHz, maximum frequency of 4.2 GHz) with integrated Radeon graphics. There is no information about the possibility of optionally installing discrete graphics, although the Chinese version had the opportunity to additionally supply NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650. The system is also equipped with 8 GB of DDR4 3200 MHz RAM and a 256 GB solid-state drive. It is worth recalling that the Chinese counterpart had the opportunity to double the RAM, and the amount of internal memory could reach 1 TB. Most likely, the manufacturer wants to sell the basic version of the computer first, and present the options later.
It is also worth noting that Huawei MateStation S is equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 modules, USB-A and USB-C ports are located on the front side of the case, there is also a 3.5 mm headphone jack. There are four more USB-A ports on the back of the computer, there is an HDMI port for connecting a monitor and an Ethernet port. In addition, the computer immediately comes out of the box with a preinstalled Windows 10 operating system, and the manufacturer also noted that the system supports the Huawei Share function – it will be quite easy to transfer various files from a Huawei smartphone to a computer and vice versa.
It is important to note that the complete set of peripherals is also supplied with the MateStation S, including a mouse and keyboard with a proprietary design, and even a Huawei monitor with a diagonal of 23.8 inches and a Full HD resolution. The manufacturer even stated that the monitor received special protection for the user’s eyes from harmful radiation, so that, in theory, it would be comfortable to work with it.
Unfortunately, the exact date of the release of Huawei MateStation S in the global market and the cost of the system have not been disclosed.
