Huge Hyundai Custo with Tucson design unveiled

The South Korean company Hyundai has unveiled its Hyundai Custo car, which will soon go on sale in Asian markets, initially in China. It is a large minivan that clearly borrows the front end design from the new Hyundai Tucson.

Hyundai Custo measures 4.95 meters long, 1.85 meters wide and 1.73 meters high, with a wheelbase of 3006 mm. At the same time, Hyundai Custo is slightly inferior in size to the new generation Kia Carnival or Hyundai Staria.

At the front is the signature grille, which includes LED daytime running lights disguised as chrome trim. At the back are slim LED lights connected by an LED strip.

Inside, the Hyundai Custo is pretty minimalist with a digital instrument cluster and a 10.4-inch portrait-orientation touchscreen. The steering wheel here is the same as that of the Hyundai Creta. The new Hyundai Custo has a large panoramic sunroof. In China, it will be offered in 6- and 7-seater variants. In the first case, the second row sofa is replaced by a pair of captain’s chairs.

Hyundai Custo will feature an ambient lighting system, leather upholstery, seats with ventilation and massage functions, entertainment screens for second row passengers, multi-zone climate control, electric sliding rear doors, 360-degree cameras, keyless entry and start, and modern driver assistance systems.

Hyundai Custo will be powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged T-GDI petrol engine producing 170 hp. combined with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. There will also be a turbocharged 2.0-liter T-GDI variant with 236bhp. paired with an eight-speed automatic. The drive can only be front.
