Huge open world, free multiplayer and new mutants: STALKER 2 details appeared

Today, December 9, another issue of the popular PC Gamer magazine went into release, in which the bulk of the material is devoted to the highly anticipated game STALKER 2 from GSC Game World. For example, the developers talked about a very impressive scale – the gamer will have access to an open world of 64 square kilometers, exploring which it will be possible to get into dungeons, laboratories, explore various biomes and even visit locations from the previous parts. True, it will be necessary to walk through the infected area carefully – the gamer will have to constantly monitor the parameters of his character.

For example, the mechanics of bleeding, radiation poisoning, hunger and fatigue appeared in the game – if you do not rest in time, the character will move much slower, aiming shooting will be more difficult, and in the case of a three-day lack of sleep, hallucinations may occur. In addition, you need to be wary of local monsters, which should bring a lot of troubles to the player’s head. The developers said that in STALKER 2 fans will see many mutants from the original games (there will be a bloodsucker and a burer), but the designers also worked on new horror films – in the latest issue of the magazine, the audience was told about a mutant deer with psi-abilities that can call for help other mutants.

The developers of the project paid special attention to the storyline – it is simply huge. According to the studio, the STALKER 2 script consists of 350 thousand words, which are being written by a whole group of thirty narrative designers. They create a completely non-linear story with no separation of “right” and “wrong” decisions. At the same time, information about the storyline was refuted for a hundred hours – it will take a gamer so much time to go through the storyline several times, making different decisions at key moments. Most likely, one playthrough of the plot will take 20-30 hours of time.

The most important change in the storyline will be made by the choice of the faction – the single player campaign will develop depending on who the gamer joins. For example, it will be possible to get a job in the already familiar “Monolith” or “Svoboda”, but there will be completely new factions – “Warta”, for example. The developers said that this is, in fact, the conditional police of the exclusion zone, the ideology of which is very similar to the “Duty”. But the studio refused the cooperative passage – the game is built in such a way that it would be interesting to study it alone, and not in a company with friends. But after the release, a free multiplayer with many modes will be added to the game.
