Human brain turned into a glass of volcano eruption

Scientists have found a rare form of dark organic glass and discovered that it was formed by a human brain of a volcanic victim. The rare finding was found in excavations in ancient Roman city in Italy, between the skull of a victim from the explosion of Vesuvius in 79 AD, wrote the website Interesting Engineering, citing a study published in Scientific Reports. According to the report, the glass to form requires an accurate combination of extreme heat and rapid cooling. In order to convert organic matter into glass, the temperature must be high enough to avoid crystallization during cooling and the environment must be cold enough to solidify the substance almost immediately. Water, an essential ingredient of organic tissues, makes this process even more difficult, as ambient temperatures are rarely low enough to allow the solidification of biological material.
