Humidity corridor will cause rainfall of up to 200 mm in 5 days; see regions affected

One humidity corridor will be organized in Brazil in the coming days, and should cause heavy rains in the North, Central-West and Southeast regions of Brazil. According to Climatempo, the accumulated values vary between 100 mm and 200 mm lasting 5 days.

The atmospheric configuration responsible for this climate in the country is called the Madden-Julian Oscillation (OMJ). This phenomenon crosses the globe and causes rain and humidity wherever it goes.

In Brazil, this climate condition will mainly affect the central part of the country, which will cause areas of instability.

The forecast is for rain until November 4th, affecting the south of Pará, Mato Grosso, west and north of Mato Grosso do Sul, northwest of São Paulo, Goiás, Distrito Federal, Minas Gerais, south of Bahia and Espírito Santo.

In addition to the influence of the OMJ, two cold fronts have already brought rain and storms to the states of Goiás, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, Mato Grosso and São Paulo, with accumulations above the average for the month.

In these regions, a new wave of rain will be more intense.
