The upcoming Hyundai Santa Fe PHEV hybrid crossover, expected to hit the market this summer, has been tested by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The range has also been confirmed in full electric and mixed mode.

At the moment, it is known that the Hyundai Santa Fe PHEV hybrid will be powered by a 1.6-liter T-GDi Smartstream engine, as well as an unknown electric motor. The total capacity of the power plant will be 261 hp. with a torque of 350 Nm. The car is equipped with a new six-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive system, which, according to the manufacturer, guarantee increased fuel efficiency.

Tests have shown that only on electric traction, the Hyundai Santa Fe PHEV crossover can travel up to 50 km thanks to the presence of a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 13.8 kW • h. It is interesting that the manufacturer himself declared a power reserve of 48 megapixels. The total cruising range with a full tank and a charged battery will be 708 km.

It is worth noting that when used in city mode and low mileage, the owners of the Hyundai Santa Fe PHEV can easily get by with just an electric motor, but at the same time, the car will have to be charged daily.
