Hybrid work: in addition to the office, two months of smart working abroad

We know: the return to the office will be (or has already been) revolutionized. After this “suspended” year, everyone has drawn their sums and has better understood what they want to change, what they want to leave forever and what they would never want to lose.

And so, among the various new options, is the one activated by Revol, the financial app founded by the billionaire Nikolay Storonsky, which has now decided to allow its 2,000 employees to work from abroad for 60 days a year, as part of its policy of smart working: Once travel restrictions are relaxed, Revolut employees will have the opportunity to work from a different location than the country of employment.

The company studied applicable corporate tax, immigration, income tax, and social security regulations to create a beneficial and affordable policy for employees.

In conclusion, what a flexible job it is. After listening to its employees with internal polls, it turned out that the hybrid model could be the winning one, at least the preferable one: a little in the office, where the spaces have become more collaborative and interchangeable, a little work from home for two to four days a week and, in fact, now also 60 days to spend abroad.

The same internal surveys showed that although employees work remotely, 92% found no changes in their individual productivity and, if there were any changes, they were positive.

“Then, if our employees feel the lack of colleagues or the need to collaborate face to face on important projects, here we have developed the RevLabs”, explains Jim MacDougall, Revolut’s VP of People, «They are more informal workspaces, with desks, lounges for brainstorming, meeting rooms, in the name of flexible work».
