Hyundai introduced the STARIA minivan in Russia. Looks like a spaceship

Hyundai Motor CIS introduced the STARIA line of minivans to the Russian market with a bright futuristic design, spacious interior and advanced digital solutions. Buyers will be offered three versions: an 8-seater in the Family, Lifestyle, Prestige and High-Tech trim levels, a 7-seater in the top-end Premium modification, as well as a commercial cargo van.

Hyundai STARIA features streamlined shapes and eye-catching optics, making the car look like a spaceship. At the front there is a long horizontal strip of daytime running and side lights, a massive grille with an atypical pattern and huge headlights. Large panoramic windows are installed on the sides, another wide window on the tailgate and vertical lights in the new Hyundai style are installed at the back. The premium configuration uses chrome trim on some elements.

The cabin has room for transformation, and its height is chosen in such a way as to be an ideal minivan for both family and business trips. The car is designed for 8 people by default, but the rear row seats can be folded down to carry cargo. In this form, the cargo volume is about 4 thousand liters. The premium version has a 7-seater layout with the ability to shift the seats, special trim materials and a “relaxation” mode for the second row. Inside, there is a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel and a multimedia system with 8-inch or 10.25-inch screens. There’s also a touch-sensitive center console, an electronic gear selector, USB ports and plenty of storage compartments.

Hyundai STARIA is equipped with a 2.2-liter CRDi diesel engine with 177 hp. or petrol engine Smartstream G3.5 (249 hp). In Russia, the passenger versions of the minivan will be supplied only with an 8-speed automatic, while the cargo version will be available with a 6-speed manual. The petrol version has only front-wheel drive, while the diesel version has front-wheel or all-wheel drive. The minivan received Bluelink telematic services, which allow you to access various information about the car, as well as remotely activate some of its functions: start the engine, turn on heated seats, lock and unlock doors, sound an alarm, and so on.
