Hyundai Motor has sold over 200,000 electric vehicles in Europe

According to the South Korean news agency Yonhap, local automakers Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors have reported that cumulative sales of their electric vehicles in Europe exceeded 200,000 units. The Hyundai and Kia brands are owned by the Hyundai Motor Group and have been selling electric vehicles in Europe since 2014. As of May this year, 227 919 electric vehicles of the company were sold in the Old World.

Of these, the share of Hyundai Motor – 131,719 cars, Kia Motors sold slightly less – 96,200. The combined sales of electric vehicles of the two companies in Europe exceeded 10,000 in 2017 and 100,000 last year. In May this year, Hyundai and Kia sold 43,865 electric vehicles in Europe, an increase of 99.5% over the same period last year.
