Hyundai’s first production pickup unveiled

The South Korean company Hyundai has unveiled its first production pickup truck called Hyundai Santa Cruz. The company calls it the Sport Adventure Vehicle or Sport Adventure Vehicle.

The Santa Cruz concept was introduced back in 2015, over the past few years it has changed significantly and began to resemble the design of the new Hyundai Tuscon, but only if you look at it from the front.

The length of the car is 4.97 meters, the wheelbase is 3 meters, and the length of the cargo compartment is 1.32 meters. Carrying capacity is not reported. In a lengthy video, the manufacturer demonstrates the advantage of an open trunk, in which dirty things, high loads and other oversized items can be placed.

In the basic version, users will be able to access an 8-inch screen of a multimedia system with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The older version has two 10.25-inch displays, a touchscreen climate control unit, a Bose audio system and a wide range of electronic driver assistants. But even in the basic version, there is an automatic braking system with a function of recognizing cyclists and pedestrians.

The basic version is equipped with a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with 193 hp, which is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The older version received a turbocharged engine with a capacity of 280 hp, as well as a robotic gearbox with two clutches.

The price has not yet been announced.
