THE Queen Elizabeth told Palace staff that she “could not move” much, in the first lifetime of her duties after her son, Prince Charles tested positive for the coronavirus.
Last week, the 73-year-old heir to the throne left an event after being infected for the second time by the new coronavirus. A Palace source said the 95-year-old monarch has shown no symptoms but is under observation.
On Tuesday, the queen “welcomed” the new ambassadors of Estonia and Spain via video conference. It was announced today that he has received the outgoing and new Secretary of Defense at Windsor Castle.
“Oh, here I am,” she said sarcastically, leaning on a cane, as the two secretaries entered the room, according to the APE-MPE. When asked how she was feeling, she replied: “As you can see, I can not move” and showed her legs, before taking a sliding step and greeting them with a handshake.
Buckingham Palace made no comment.
A Palace source said the queen was feeling somewhat trapped but had not been injured or ill.
The health of Elizabeth, the world’s oldest incumbent monarch, is in the spotlight after she had to stay overnight in hospital last October and her doctors advised her to rest. Last week, however, a source said the queen, who turned 70 this month, would return to normal.
