Smart home is far from a new concept. Every now and then on household appliances you can see the corresponding mark, which means the ability to control from a smartphone. However, when purchasing devices from different manufacturers, it is quite easy to get into a situation where each one needs a separate application – not very convenient. After spending two weeks with a bunch of four Hiper devices, I share my experience of interacting with a single smart home system.
Humidifier Hiper IoT Humidifier 2.2L
Impressive volume and three intensity modes
Let’s start with the most relevant device in the heating season – an air humidifier. Hiper IoT Humidifier has a fairly compact case in relation to its capacity: 250 × 117 × 218 mm and 2.2 liters. Despite the fact that the humidifier has a matte surface, it is quite easy to smudge, covered with fingerprints and dirt. Moisture is likely to contribute to this.

Speaking of moisture. Hiper IoT Humidifier 2.2L has three humidification modes that differ in power. You can switch between them by pressing a single button or, more interestingly, using a proprietary application. In the latter, you can also set the time to turn on the device and turn off the backlight if it bothers you.

I was glad that the humidifier practically does not make noise even at maximum power. Apparently, the merit of the type of device: it is ultrasonic. At the same time, the room is noticeably filled with moisture – a feeling of freshness is created, which is sorely lacking with the active operation of the batteries. Most of the time I used a humidifier at night, setting the timer to turn on and off automatically in the app.

Perhaps, of the minuses of the Hiper IoT Humidifier 2.2L, I can only note the excessive moisture around the device after use. Design features lead to a small pool of water right in front of the humidifier – not a pleasant moment if you are worried about the safety of your furniture. Before turning on the device, I recommend that you carefully consider where you are going to install it.
Air purifier Hiper IoT Purifier Pro v1
UV sterilizer and night mode

An air purifier is a rather strange item, and its effectiveness is difficult to verify. At least that’s what I thought. In the case of Hiper IoT Purifier Pro v1, the difference between “before” and “after” is quite easy to feel after several hours of work in medium or strong mode. Especially if you spend a lot of time at home.

Most of the time I turned on the cleaner at medium power, as at maximum it makes too much noise, which can cause discomfort. In order to use it at night, there is a separate item in the menu, which completely minimizes the emitted buzz.

Under the easily removable back cover of the purifier, there is a large filter, which, according to the manufacturer, is enough for 2200 hours of operation. Then you have to buy a new one – in an official store this costs about 3,000 rubles, which seems a reasonable price for clean air in an apartment or office.

In terms of design, the IoT Purifier Pro v1 is a rather massive (272 x 303 x 498 mm) barrel with many air intake vents. I was surprised that the weight of the purifier is only 1.7 kg – it is very light. Controls and a foldable carrying handle are located at the top. In the same place, you can see the RGB-backlighting, which shimmers during use. If the lights interfere with your sleep or are just annoying, you can always turn them off in the app.
Heater and Fan Hiper IoT Heater Fan v1
Cools during the day and warms in the night

Perhaps the most unusual device presented in today’s review is a fan with a heater function. Despite its compact size, it can accelerate to 4.5 m / s and serve rooms up to 26 m². In this case, the temperature of the blown air is controlled by the user and ranges from 5 ° C to 45 ° C.

The fan has a height-adjustable foot, which can also rotate around its axis. All controls are located at the bottom, there is also a round screen, which, however, is conveniently replaced by a proprietary application.

As with previous devices, the Hiper IoT app allows you to set a timer and change the fan mode. In addition, Hiper IoT Heater Fan v1 allows you to manually adjust the temperature of the blown air with an accuracy of 1 degree.

For those who are concerned about security, the Hiper IoT Heater Fan v1 has a built-in security button. Thanks to it, the fan cannot operate without a solid surface underneath. In other words, if it falls, there will be no fire.
Weather station Hiper IoT Weather Station P1
Your personal weather forecast

The last gadget in this line is a kind of bundle for all the previous ones. The fact is that the weather station not only displays the current temperature, but also measures the humidity in the room, makes a forecast for tomorrow, and shows the pressure in mm. rt. Art. and even gives information about the current phase of the moon. Do not rush to say that you do not need all this!

In my opinion, the weather station is fully disclosed precisely in the amount of other smart home items – all because some processes can be automated in the application. As an example, humidity. After the weather station detects a decrease in humidity below the specified level, the smartphone itself will order the humidifier to turn on and work until the air ceases to be dry. The same can be done with temperature.

Nevertheless, and apart from the whole Hiper IoT Weather Station P1 can be useful, performing a purely informative role – displaying the temperature inside and outside the apartment. Moreover, based on the data of its sensors, the weather station also compiles a weather forecast that is relevant for your area, which may differ significantly from what you find on the Internet.

Of the obvious disadvantages here, we can note a very easily soiled case made of dark plastic and not the most technologically advanced display, which easily loses visibility under any deviation.
Smart assistants
“Alice, turn on the cleaner”

Perhaps the most pleasant thing for me was the support of the “Alice” assistant from Yandex. Despite the fact that only support for Google and Alexa is declared in the settings and on the boxes of devices, everything is connected to Alice in no time. Thus, in addition to traditional button control and more fashionable interaction with a smartphone, Hiper technology can also perform voice commands. Comfortable.
Review
After two weeks of use

After spending quite a long time with Hiper smart devices, I can say that controlling the climate in a room from a smartphone is a great idea. I will say more, Hiper managed to successfully bring it to life. All four devices interact perfectly with each other using automation, and, if desired, are finely configured manually. Don’t like the light? Turn off. Do you want warmer air? Add it up. Moreover, Hiper devices support integration with domestic voice assistants from Yandex and VK, which is also a big plus.
pros
- Excellent characteristics for each of the devices.
- The ability to automate the process.
- Support for “Alisa” and “Marusya”.
- Concern for safety in the case of a heater.
- Calm design that fits into any interior.
Minuses
- Moisture builds up around the humidifier.
- The weather station gets dirty easily.
