I danced with the queen at parties, says Brazilian who worked for the royal family

Over six years, Brazilian Danielle dos Santos Cabral closely followed special moments, between solemnities and informal situations, of the British monarchy. The executive salesperson met the queen elizabeth II , who died this Thursday (8), and its castles. In an interview with CNN this Friday (9), she told facts and trivia from work to the royal family.

Danielle worked beyond Buckingham Palace , In London. She traveled with the Queen to Windsor and Balmoral Castles in Scotland and to Sandringham House, the royal country house, in Norfolk.

“I worked for six years and met her on several occasions. Every year we received a Christmas present from her in our hands and I also met her at parties, danced and chatted with her. I met her several times in Balmore, we worked and had a break in the afternoon when we took walks around the farm,” says Danielle.

According to Danielle, the work made it possible to discover another side of Elizabeth II’s personality, beyond the formalities observed in the behavior of British royalty.

“He was always a very kind, attentive person, who always liked to talk to all the employees and made no difference between anyone, I only have good memories. Yesterday I was very upset by the news,” she says.

King Charles III

Now called King Charles III, the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II assumed the English throne on Thursday.

“I have met Charles several times, for me he is one of the kindest and friendliest people in the royal family. I had a totally different view when I started working at the palace about Charles,” says Danielle. “I loved talking to him whenever I had the opportunity, I met him at parties and events at the palace and at all times he was extremely kind”, he adds.

unusual situations

Danielle claims that working for the royal family came from an invitation when she was an employee at a local supermarket.

“When I moved to England I never thought I would work there. I had already visited London before moving there, it was a huge protocol. From the day I was told I was employed until the day I started working, it took an average of 9 months,” she says.

According to Danielle, a survey was carried out on previous companies and places where she lived in Brazil. “They told me they were calling Brazil and people couldn’t believe they were talking about Buckingham Palace. So people hung up, didn’t pay attention, so they had some problems,” she says.

Once, while working, when she was pregnant, she ordered a crib to be delivered to the palace. The somewhat unusual address caught the attention of couriers who called more than once to confirm the shipment.

“I said: ‘I’m the one who’s pregnant, it’s not the queen, please deliver, it’s me, you can deliver that everything is fine’”, says Danielle.
